Mouse fails to move when making small movements

Basically, when I move my mouse a little bit, nothing happens! It's really hard to play the game that way. Can somebody help me?

Increase your mouse speed by going to Control Panel> Mouse> Pointer options> Speed to 'Fast'

(At least that's how it works in my Win 7)
