Rowdy 1 Posted July 30, 2002 When you go into mulitplayer I can see all the DED servers up and the names of the servers . I figure they must be all launched from gamespy to have the names on them  ? SO if i create a game in gamespy launch myself into OFP RES could  my bros avoid gamespy and see my hosted game in the mulitplayer ded servers list ?? Or what do they do to find my game ,search by IP ? What if we want the public to see us in Mulitplayer so they could join up ?  I guess u could say were not a dedicated server just putting our room up when were online .Was hoping that most of the people could avoid Gamespy . ALso when they search by IP sometimes they could find me by IP other  nights it seemed not to work . Taking firewalls and all that into consideration also . Havnt seen alot of threads explaining this Hosting stuff either .Thought Avon would have something for us ,well- ummmmmmmm not so computer literate .hehe {;-) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
