AboutUsbanner_zpsf54c0e2a.jpg

The 23RD AA or 23RD Air Assault Division is a milsim unit that is based roughly off of the real U.S. Army Air Assault community. We are a community that welcomes players from all around the world and will not turn any member down due to nationality. We have spent alot of time as a unit researching the real life trainings that these units do and adapting them into ArmA 2. Each unit within 23RD AA MilSim has its own rigouriously run and set-up training courses from infantry schools to flight schools.

We play ArmA2 Combined Operations. Which means you will need either ArmA 2 and Operation Arrowhead together or the ArmA 2 CO bundle. Whilst not a requirement we do recommend the BAF and PMC DLC's.

Before playing on our servers you will be required to download our modpack through Playwithsix/SixUpdater. Ontop of this you will need to have ACE2 and ACRE. A willingness to use these mods and learn them is neccessary.

If you meet these requirements either head to our website below or read on for more information as to what we do. http://forums.23rd-aa.org/

Once you put in your application you will be handled by our recruiting team where our recruiters will take you through the application phase to make sure that you are definately ready to join our unit. The recruitment process includes:

- Gaming Sessions

- Interview

- Board Review

For the application phase you conduct one gaming sessions on our public server with one of the recruiters who will be assessing your attitude, gaming style and skills once that is complete you will be interviewed by your recruiter and later a board review will be conducted and Command Staff will then decide whether to deny or accept your application.

If accepted you will be transfered to TRADOC where you will become a recruit in our Basic Combat Training cycle. We run these cycles generally every month and it lasts one week of classes, one week for make-ups and then you graduate on the second Saturday. The training consists of three practical sessions covering everything from basic radio useage up to infantry skills in vehicles, on open terrain and in urban areas.

Day 1 - Tools of an infantryman, Navigation and Radio Communication

Day 2 - Convoy and Weapons Training

Day 3 - Basic Infantry and Urban Operations

Please note this is a comprehensive course to bring players of all skill levels up to the same high standard that we expect.

Once you graduate you get to go into one of our two units. The 327th Infantry Regiment or the Combat Aviation Brigade.

Making up the 23RD AA we have 2 Units:

- 327th Infantry Regiment

- Combat Aviation Brigade

Each of these units follow the U.S. Army command structure and rank system.

The 327th is just a regular infantry unit but the CAB consists of two inner units. These are the 23rd Aviation Regiment, which are the Blackhawks, and the 17th Calvary, which are the Kiowa Pilots.

We have multiple roles from your basic rifleman to your transport and even CAS pilots. No matter who you are we should have a position for you. What will you do?

Update 16 MAR 2014

Big news! the 23rd Air Assault will no longer be an ArmA 2 Air Assault unit. We are changing our footing a little and switching to an ArmA 3 based Pararescue Unit. Our name is also changing from the 23rd Air Assault Division to the 563d Rescue Group. That means this thread is no longer going to be updated so if you see this and are interested, keep an eye in the ArmA 3 forums for our new recruitment post. You can still contact me in the same ways stated above aswell if you have any questions about the unit change, minus the website because that will all be changing aswell. Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from any potential recruits soon.

1st Lt Loper, 563d RG
