Corbs 10 Posted November 3, 2013 (edited) Status: Still Recruiting Strong 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit‘The Few, The Proud’Who are we?The 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit is an ArmA II ACE/ACRE Military Simulation unit following the image of the real world United States Marine Corps’ 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU). We specialize in quick reaction forces, helicopter assaults, amphibious assaults and more. We always strive to be as realistic as possible while maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere. We are currently recruiting new members into the 31st MEU, we are a North American based ArmA II Military Realism Unit but we accept all nations into our ranks.As of late our unit is 30 Marines strong. We have many different billet’s within the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit; they range from Rifleman, Corpsman, Light Armored Vehicle Crewman, Engineers/EOD, Pilots from our Aviation Combat Element (HMM-265 [REIN]), and so much more. We also have the availability of a secondary job within the 31st MEU which you can apply for if interested, those jobs range from in game jobs such as Drill Instructor, Flight Instructor, all the way to Recruiter and Technical Support. We support the Ground Combat Element by providing transportation of equipment and personnel, advanced observation, and Close Air Support when needed.All pilot applicants must have two weeks’ time served as a 0311 Rifleman, go through 4 weeks of training as a Student Naval Aviator, and be willing to dedicate time towards operations as well as continuous training. Anyone applying for the position of Enlisted Aircrew must also have two weeks’ time served as a 0311 rifleman and go through one week of job specific training.Being in the Aviation Combat Element is very demanding. All applicants will be screened thoroughly and candidates selected carefully. There is no guarantee that a member of the GCE will be selected to join ACE.31st MEU holds weekly operations and trainings such as simulated deployments to various countries, trainings, joint operations with other units, and many more.
