The_Blackfish 2 Posted September 13, 2013 All I can say is do the following in this order: -Check for windows updates -Update your Video and Sound card drivers. -Do a virus scan -Run steam as admin -Run arma as admin -Delete your "client.blob" file in Steam directory, then check for updates on your ArmA 3 game -Uninstall steam and reinstall along with ArmA
Furret 0 Posted September 13, 2013 add the -nobenchmark parameter?
EDcase 87 Posted September 13, 2013 add the -nobenchmark parameter? No such command as far as I can see. ('-benchmark' is an option but usage unknown) You might be thinking of '-nologs' which may improve performance but I doubt it will help with starting ARMA
Kevlaar 10 Posted September 13, 2013 I have the exact same problem. Same error message. I played the beta without any problems and was able to launch ArmA 3 once after its release yesterday. When I wanted to launch it tonight I received the above error message. Since last time when it worked I have only updated nvidia drivers and installed freetrack. Any help is appreciated... redlinebuzz 10 Posted September 15, 2013 Got it sorted, kind of ! I set up a dual boot on a spare hard drive and put windows 7 sp1 and nothing else, and it worked fine, updated graphics drivers, still ok, installed FreeTrack2, crashed on startup everytime, even when FreeTrack wasn't running. So uninstalled FreeTrack and Arma3 started no problems, seems it's a known issue with FreeTrack. I have had a fiddle with FaceTrackNoIr, which seems to work ok, although no where near as easy as FreeTrack to setup. I don't want to invest in TrackIr incase the Oculus Rift arrives and is as awesome as almost everyone seems to think it's going to be. Thanks for the help guy's.
