John C Flett 0 Posted August 7, 2002 Not seen any other posts so I thought I'd ask. Just got the BF1942 SP demo off PC Gamer UK and have to say I rather enjoyed it. Most certainly an arcade game but still with a decent tactical feel to it. And, despite asking for an PIII 800 its actually quite playable on my 667 machine. Anyway, its no rival for Flashpoint but it looks like it could be a good fun blast. The weapons feel reasonably solid, the tanks are fun to drive and the map looks pretty good giving a nice sense of place. No chance yet to try out the aircraft but I liked what I've seen. M_S_Holder 0 Posted August 7, 2002 I'm going to wait for G.I. Combat. The guys that did Close Combat worked on that one, although some of the previews don't look too good.
Rhubarbman 0 Posted August 7, 2002 BF1942 is a joke, it started out as a realistic game way way back, then deteriated into a crappy DM game dressed in WWII clothes just like MOH:AA.
