Arma 3 won't launch - Remains in Taskmanager

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I'm not able to start Arma 3 nor Arma 2. I have the same issue with both.

I have tried mostly everything but after the "Launching" screen, it just disappears and ends up in Task manager and nothing more so i have to end the process.

I have the same problem with Euro Truck simulator 2.

They all worked just fine a couple of weeks ago but then suddenly stopped working.

I don't have Zonealarm or any other AV programs, my Firewall is disabled, Nvidea drivers up to date and I'm running Steam beta patches.

ETS2,Arma3 and Arma2 are both being started through steam, but other steam games works.

No error, nothing.

Not sure how to post files here but i have Dxdiag and arma 3 .RPT file ready.

Also, i have tried both Arma 3 beta and Arma 3 beta dev.

Thanks.

are you getting an error message saying this program has stoped responding? if so see what the stated reason is, see if you have these numbers 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 because mine was runing fine yesterday but will crash at splash screen now

Nope nothing. I just get to the launching window "reading addons" and such and then it just disappears. I can see the Arma3.exe process in Task manager and in steam friends it says i'm playing Arma 3... I wouldn't be surprised if it's Nvidea driver related.

Okay this is very weird... Explorer.exe froze for no reason while watching a movie, so i decided to kill that process and then run a new explorer.exe , continued watching my movie and everything turned black for like 10 seconds. I was playing around updating my GPS unit and basecamp program... But now, Arma 2, arma 3 and ETS2 is working! I remember selected " kill process tree " on Explorer.exe and that made a couple of programs shut down. I have no clue why this happened, but now it's working again!
