Sonny2Gunz 10 Posted July 5, 2013 I have been reading all the posts I could find in hopes of avoiding creating a thread but nothing has worked for me so far. Here's the issue: Pre-beta, I had no issue joining in on games, I even managed to get in on a few MP matches since the beta went live, but since about a week ago I have been unable to join mulitplayer servers of any kind. I start the ARMA 3 beta from STEAM, navigate to Play Multiplayer, and let the server list populate. I choose a server I have played on before (Alpha Build), with a green dot and green ping, and choose join. After 2-3 minutes of waiting at the loading screen (ie Stratis map overview with Beta disclaimer), I get a message saying "You were kicked off the game" I've read that this could be caused by battleye not being installed, so I went to their website, and downloaded a client version. I have no idea which version I'm supposed to use as ARMA 3 wasn't listed, so I downloaded both ARMA2 OA and ARMA2 versions and copied them into Steam/Steamapps/common/ARMA3/DLL folder and restarted Steam. Still no love. For troubleshooting I've tried choosing a myriad of different servers, checking my firewall settings and turning off all protection, altered the filter setting to show battleeye "No" , punched a kitten and bought a rabbit's foot. Any help would be greatly appreciated and rewarded with a Steam gift of Portal 2 to do whatever you want with. (IF your help can magically get me back to being able to join MP servers.) Thanks in advance.
Drawster 10 Posted July 5, 2013 Have you made sure your Steam is online? I had exactly the same problem after the Beta came out. My Steam went offline for some reason and and I too got the "You were kicked.." -message when trying to join any game. Reconnecting Steam fixed the problem for me. Sonny2Gunz 10 Posted July 6, 2013 I actually did this before reading this post and it most definitely worked! BUT since you had the right answer, PM me your Steam name and I'll shoot you a copy of Portal 2 anyways for being helpful! Thank you for offering the advice, it is appreciated!
