Black screen - after playing

Arma 3 Alpha goes to a black screen after playing for about 5 minutes. Can still hear audio in the background but no video and no escape. My system specs are:

CPU - Phenom II 965

Video card - Radeon 6850

Turned my video settings down and it runs longer but I am just trying to figure if this is something to do with my settings or if I have a problem with my video card. Please help, appreciate any given.

Please post a report file. How is your audio configured (e.g., HDMI or Headphone jack)?

I just have a speaker setup right now. Digital audio (S/PDIF).

I suspect that your issue may be similar to 579. Does your monitor display a message saying that it's disconnected or isn't receiving signal? Please post that report file when you get a chance too.

Monitor goes black, no message. Really leaning toward believing the graphics card is overheating. Don't know enough about this stuff, but am hoping there is maybe a fail safe shutdown for my card when it reaches a certain temp?

Don't worry, both your graphics card and processor will shut down if they get too hot. If you hear your fans speed up during the time when your monitor is out, I can be certain that you're having the exact same issue I have had over the past four to five months, leaving me unable to play.

Are you able to upload a one of your report files to Pastebin? See post two in this thread for details and post the link here.

I am having the same exact problem with my game, can't play for long before my monitor goes black and says "Going into sleepmode" but I can still hear game audio in the background. Only way to get picture back is to restart my computer.
