LTravis 10 Posted June 9, 2013 Okay so, I recently downloaded ArmA II. Upon starting the boot camp/ training, I noticed that none of the controls for the tutorial were as they should be. I had to use the arrow keys to walk forward, and instead of Z to go prone, it was mapped to pgdn. There was no button mapped to switch weapons either. I went into the control settings, and it read as follows: Move forward: "W" "Up". So thinking that I could just unmap up and fix the problem, I did. However when I tried to play again, W did nothing. Has anyone ever encountered this? Or am I overlooking something obvious?
MissileMoose 10 Posted June 9, 2013 I suspect that this may be an issue with keyboard locality. Navigate to 'Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region > Language', your keyboard layout should be displayed as 'Keyboard layout:'. Post back with the name of your keyboard type. LTravis 10 Posted June 9, 2013 It reads "Keyboard Layout: US".
MissileMoose 10 Posted June 9, 2013 It reads "Keyboard Layout: US". That's definitely not the issue then. Have you tried deleting (backup first) your configuration files? Mainly the '.Arma2OAProfile' which contains the control scheme.
