BIS_IS_THE_BEST 1 Posted November 11, 2001 i have heard so many people whining and complaining the last couple of days, and their main defense was "the game wont have a future". since when did the community decide what the game should and shouldnt have? we suggest stuff, NOT demand it. i have heard such posts as, joining in progress is a feature that is needed or the game will not last... they only say this so they can pressure the game dev's to do it. i reckon OFP is fine BIS have worked on this game for at least 4 yrs now, and if they say u cant have Join in Progress, YOU AINT GETTING JOIN IN PROGRESS!!! GOT IT? keep up the good work BIS, i look forward to purchasing OFP: Red Hammer cyas

ACT SMILEY 0 Posted November 11, 2001 Dev teams have a thin line between following advice from players and messing up a game. Fans ARE an important piece of marketing. I've convinced a friend to buy just over Å100 of games in 2 years (a new release is Å30), including OFP so getting hardcore-fans is useful ÅÅÅ wise for future projects. Many ideas are simply ideas that people come up with. Some will always be dissapointed. A few new tools releasec in effort/result rates beats adding in-game joining - something that would be problematic with lag and many other issues.
Guest Posted June 19, 2002 We can say without a doubt that the majority of the people in the community think that OFP has a bright future. Closing
