Problem getting ArmA to load

Hi,

I bought ArmA: Gold about a week ago. Ive installed it and the latest update. The problem is when i try load it as in click 'Launch ArmA' a grey box appears in the middle of the screen and little ticks appear in smaller grey boxes. Once they disappear the screen turns black i get a quick flash of 'Bohemia Interactive' then it all just disappears and returns me to my desktop. according to the Windows Task Manager it is working fine and the only way to close it is to end the process. I have left it for an hour before and still nothing happens. Ive heard good things about this game and would really like to be able to play it so any help would be great thanks.
