karlh 10 Posted April 23, 2013 I bought ArmA 3 on Steam and it kept crashing. I like the part that I saw. So I bought ARMA 2 combined ops from Gamestop. It uses GameSpy. I supposes that means I can't connect with any of the friends I made over on Steam. Are the two incompatible? I let ARMA 2 OA install in the same directory that ARMA 2 is in. When I tried to run it I got an error saying the setup had a bad serial number. So I've uninstalled it and plan on reinstalling into a different folder. On GameSpy I can't connect to any server that uses BATTLEYE. I downloaded the battleye.dll for ARMA and placed it in the folder as the instructions said. I still can not connect to these servers. Is there something else I need to do? I spent almost 20 hours with ArmA 3 messing around online, crashing, restarting.... Hooked up with some helpful nice guys at jointstrikeforce.us. They showed me how to add the ACRE radio and some other stuff. But still. 20+ hours and not a single online kill. With ArmA 2 I've at least got a couple of kills since last night:) [not including zombies]. I am looking forward to getting with some guys and doing some stuff that goes beyond the XBOX stuff.
