Arma 3 is 0.55 after downloading latest patch

I just downloaded the nearly 400MB patch (with patch notes saying fog has been added) and my version still appears to be 0.55. At least that's what I'm seeing on the bottom right of my start screen. I also can not join nearly 90% of the Wasteland servers because they are saying they require 0.54 and I can only join the 0.55 servers.

Can anyone help explain this?

You're using the beta builds. Right click on ArmA 3 in your library and select properties, go to the beta tab and opt out of developer builds.

Aha. I did just do that. I was in there trying to figure out why the patch was not downloading in the first place when I saw that and said, "Hey I want to be signed up for Betas"

Developer build is nice, but expect user-made missions to break (they seem to break the mainstream when the dev branch goes live anyway) and the odd glitch.
