Lazarus_Long 0 Posted July 21, 2002 Crap!! After all the trouble I've had with OFPR in the last week and a half, and now I have run into another problem. Â I love OFP more than any game, but this is getting rediculous. Â It's like my computer is determined not to let me play OFPR or something. Things were finally running nice and smoothly without any lockups or CTD's. Â I started to get into the campaign and got to the point where Gastovski shows up. Â Then all of a sudden, my computer cuts the power off in the middle of the cutscene. Everything goes black and silent...What the hell?? I check behind the desk to see if the cat knocked the plug out or something, but I soon see that he's still sleeping by the window. Â Hmmm? Â I turn the computer back on, run scan disk, and everything seems in order so I shrug my shoulders and start OFPR back up again. At the main menu, when I try to click on "campaign" the computer freezes so I re-boot and try again - same thing happens. Â I do it again - computer locks up. Â Again, then again....Locks up everytime I click on "campaign". Â Gaaahhrgh!!! Why me? Why me? *cries like a girl* Someone please help me. My specs: 1.33GHz AMD Athlon, Mobo: FIC AD-11, 512MB PC2100 DDR RAM, MSI Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128MB, SB Audigy-Gamer, Windows XP Home Ed., Maxtor 40GB HD 7200. Â All the latest drivers. theavonlady 2 Posted July 21, 2002 Sounds like the file was never closed properly and data is lost or incomplete. You could start the campaign all over again. Or you can search The FAQ for the "resistance.sqc" file, download it to replace your corrupt copy and revert to where you were in the campaign.
jawk2 1 Posted July 21, 2002 got the same problems as u.... and it seems it is a faulty player addons or mission. I personnally havent search i ve just copied my /user /addons /missions folders in other part of my HDD *dont want to loose 2 gig of data*... and un-install both Res and CWC: it's just work fine *dont forget to patch up to 1.46 before installing REs thought this not concern the exe, some addons/map are upgraded*. Well i will reinstall the addons &missions one by one to find the faulty one (which deserve beeing trashed)
