player's signature check timed out

Recommended Posts

I keep getting kicked from servers after about 5mins for 'player's signature check timed out'. Sometimes it says 'session lost' sometimes it just says 'you have been kicked from the game'. The server reports I was kicked for 'player's signature check timed out'. I have done a little research though there isn't much info out there.

I purchased the game through steam and did a cache check using steam. I did a fresh install, none of which worked. I found one thread that talked about networking issues and I happen to have two dsl connections from the same provider in the same house. One connection, doesn't have this problem. The other, unfortunately the one thats tied directly to my pc, does. So that pretty much rules out everything except the network. I'm not sure what to do. The modem is running in bridge mode which means its not using any firewalls. My pc has windows firewall disabled, I even added a rule just in case to dmz every program. This really sucks, almost every server I get kicked from. Can someone help me figure this out?

I'm running windows 7 64bit and i have a tplink td-8616 dsl modem. I'm using centurylink dsl on the eastcoast.

This is pretty much what I see in other similar threads to mine. No one has a clue what to do to fix this problem?

This isn't an unusual problem, I see people getting kicked for this all the time. There are a few people around in different forums reporting the same thing. Is this something that is going to get fixed anytime soon? Can anyone help me get this straight?

Are you joining servers correctly? Means if they require beta, do you join them with beta on? What kind of mods do you use?

What do you mean by joining servers correctly? How do I turn beta on or off? I use Dayz mod and just plain ole armaII OA, both with the same results.

Keep in mind, when using the exact same pc on two separate dsl lines I only have the problem on my primary line. I have swapped out all the networking hardware between the two lines with the exact same results. The primary line fails the sig check(times out) the other line connects fine. Why does it pass the sig check on one dsl line and not the other? It sounds like a auth server issue, but I don't know.
