Ghost-321 10 Posted March 20, 2013 3 Mercian is recruiting Europeans to join its ranks! Who are we?We are a group of players who enjoy playing realistically without the fluff. You won’t find anyone being addressed by a rank here. Using ACE and ACRE, we hope to provide an enjoyable weekly experience of both TvT and COOP with custom made missions and scenarios that everyone can look forward to.What do we do?We play as 3 Mercian, the armored infantry battalion of the 7th Armored Brigade. This means many of our missions are completed with close coordination with Warrior AFV’s. We use real tactics, but spare the things that do not work in-game and detract from the overall experience. If it’s effective, we will use it; but nothing is used purely for the sake of “realismâ€. This means that we can get away with playing air assault one day and insert by boat the next, allowing us to have a variety of missions.What are the ranks?When you first join up you will be placed in a one to two week probationary period. You are ran through the bare basics of tactics and are able to play in all of our events meaning you won’t be left out because you are the new guy. You are however limited to the Rifleman role. After one week you are trained fully and are able to play as whatever role you are proficient in. There is no set structure and players can play as whatever role they feel like playing in and are comfortable with.Once you have passed your training, promotions are handed out by contribution and need, not just as a reward. You won’t find an odd officer ratio here or an absurd number of people who cannot lead.Events And TrainingTrainings are held to increase cohesion between members. As an armored infantry unit coordination and individual ability are paramount to operational success.
