Very strange problem. Game crashes on a server and then the server disappears for me

Has anyone else had this issue?

I'll be playing on a server and my game will completely freeze up, stop responding, then crash

I'll go back to play on the server and it doesn't show up for me. So far this has happened twice. I can't figure out what is causing it. Why would the server disappear for me?

I have had that a few times.

I assumed that when it happens it was just the whole server crashing which is why it doesn't come up again.
