Austin 1 Posted March 10, 2013 I have problems with ArmA 3 frame drops in Multiplayer games. In singleplayer/Editor everything runs fine and frames are at 40 fps. When I join a Multiplayer game, frames are at about 35 fps but from time to time they are dropping to zero (abount every 30 seconds for one or two seceonds). Load on GPU also drops to zero. The issue mainly happens when Im sorrounded by many oponents, but it doesnt matter if there are 16 or 40 ppl on the server. I monitored temperatures, GPU load, CPU load, Network rate: everything looks fine. I tried various grafik and sound setting, updated grafic drivers, disabled antivir but the issue is still there. My System: Geforce N560GTX TI Intel I5 2500 8GB RAM
duffbeeer 10 Posted March 10, 2013 Thats because your FPS is tied to the server. If the server has bad FPS you will also have bad FPS. No dedicated server files yet...

No, my clanmates playing on the same server dont have such issues. It just happens on my PC on every server i have tried so far (at least 15)
HonorableHero 1 Posted March 11, 2013 "This is an old ArmA II issue that is still not solved in ArmA III alpha. Client performance will go down with Server performance, especially when A.I. is involved or with large player amounts. Currently there are no dedicatd servers with headless client (HC) for ArmA III that could lessen the problem...and HC is still in beta even for ArmA II. All I can sugest is: hang on and wait for future builds." - Beagle (from thread: FPS Drops Over Time in a Multiplayer Game) And it is only in ALPHA.
