Crashes from Right-Click Zooming and Optics.

Recommended Posts

Hey, my client keeps crashing like, almost like clockwork, whenever i join a server, then either look through the optics of my gun, or switch to dot sight, then right click and hold to zoom in. It just feezes then i alt tab and its says that it crashed. Sometimes it also happens when im just joining a server, especially if i have the graphics settings set to ultra or high or something. Seems to have something to do with it. I know if i click "autodetect" then try to join any server it crashes every single time before i even get past the loading screen.

So maybe there some specific video setting that causes this, seems to happen less often on standard settings but, my machine gets great FPS on Ultra, as long as the server is running smoothly.

Evga gtx 670 ftw, asus sabertooth z77, i7 3700k @4.5 2.5v stable never over 70 degrees C, 16 gigs ddr3 corsair vengeance ram, ocz vertex 3 ssd (OS), seagate barracuda TB (Games).

*could this maybe be from my overclock? like its slightly unstable or something causing the game to crash? cause im not super pro at overclocking but i know when i was testing overclocks if the multiplier up and there wasnt enough voltage for it, my games and programs would crash, so wonder if its that. (Arma II doesnt crash though, Btw)

Did you ever get a fix for this? This is EXACTLY what is happening to me, but I'm not overclocking. Completely vanilla Arma 3 and even happens in single player on mid graphics.

Sometimes I get lucky and get about 45 minutes in before it crashes, but that's because I'm too busy walking. Generally find it happens when in combat, almost exclusively.

Also getting these two error codes sometimes:

"d3d error dxgi_error_device_removed"

followed by:

"the exception unknown software exception (0x0000dead) occurred in the application at location 0x000000007512DAE8"

Please tell me someone has a fix for this!
