Connection Issues

Well, 99% of the servers I can't connect at all.

The 1% I can connect, I can't choose roles.

uPNP active and ports 2302-2307 opened on the router.

So whats the deal here?

I'm having the exact same problem although i have been able to select a role once or twice.

What kind of router are you using?

I have a thompson for now. I already heard this router is causing problems. It's not the first game this has happened, but not as bad as this.

On arma 2 i have no problems whatsoever, and it looks like it's the same. At least on a presentation level.

Yeah, i guess it's the router. did it help at all opening the ports?

Nope. Not at all. Not that I noticed at least because I still couldn't join any server. Only managed to join one that I couldn't choose a role.

I got lucky and managed to get into my clans server and was able to play for 5 minutes before the game crashed.

The Multi player really needs some revisions.

It doesn't need any revision just a little bit of tweaking i think. :)

Well, I'm gonna mark this thread as solved.

Since I was changing ISP's anyway, for a faster one, this aparently worked. Different router and I've been able to play without any issues.

1 day before i changed i did manage to play a bit, But I don't know if I was just lucky, or something was fixed, because it was on my clan server wich i rarely had issues. THe most issues I had were on private sessions created on someone elses computer, and not a dedicated server with open ports and all that.

Anyway, Different router fixed the issue.
