REDFORActual 10 Posted February 21, 2013 (edited) REDFOR is a tactical gaming community centered around using real world tactics, equipment and communication in military simulation games. Our primary focus for the past year has been ArmA 2 Combined Operations in an organized, realistic manner with fun being our primary objective. REDFOR plays a mixed bag of cooperative and adversarial missions every week, along with general and specialized training. We are a community of like-minded gamers and friends who share similar interests such as military history, flight simulation and tactical FPS games. While REDFOR employs a rank system to ensure order in mission, all members receive opportunities to play in leadership and other specialized roles in ArmA missions, while also organizing and running events in other games throughout the week. We believe that you get out of a community what you put into it, and encourage members to take an active role in strengthening and expanding our unit’s activities. Being active on the team speak 3 server and our forums is the best way to get to know us, and all are welcome! We are looking for members that want the authentic experience of real military tactics, leadership and weapons discipline without the bureaucracy and paper work of a ‘true’ milsim unit. Interest in other simulation games and similar topics is a bonus. As a primarily North American unit, we also require members to have a good understanding of the English language. We do not tolerate bigoted, 'lone wolf', or otherwise antagonistic personalities, as we are a community and team first. Requirements to join A working and legal copy of ArmA 2: Combined Operations ArmA 2: British Armed Forces DLC (Optional) A working microphone (Optional but very encouraged) Six Updater 16+ Years of age or older. REDFORActual 10 Posted May 2, 2013 REDFOR Update The ARMA community REDFOR has been growing and getting stronger over the last few months but we are still looking for more recruits. Sunday May 5th we are starting our campaign, Operation Legendary Muskrat. It will be a mirror of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979. This campaign is dynamic. This means we will play a single mission a week (along with TVT's and other coop's as per usual) every week until all objectives are complete or we have a string of to many failures. If you are a member of another unit that is interested in playing joint operations coop and or TVT be sure to contact our recruiter.
