1. ARMA 2 Has Stopped Working 2. Can't Play OA Since DayZ was installed

1. Every time I join a server with a lot of people (20+ maybe) I get disconnected from the game. The first day I bought this computer, I could join servers with a lot of people. Then I updated it because it needed to be updated and the next day, I couldn't... But after I choose a role and press OK, the game starts to load and about half way there, It closes the game down and says, "ARMA 2 Has Stopped Working." (The forum wouldn't let me post a picture) But if I join a server with not as much people, I can play on it. I "could" of played on servers with a lot of people on OA and I can on DayZ but not ARMA 2... Please Help

(Regarding the paths I write, I guess your using win7)

1. In "C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA" or "C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\ArmA 2" if you really want to play arma2 without co

you should find a file called arma2oa.rpt or arma2.rpt. Post the content of the last gamesession where this problem happened, so we can see what the game says about the crash.

2. There are some methods to start a game with/without mods, the first and easiest one:

- Start the game (as it starts with dayZ currently).

- in the main menu, click on "Expansions" (A list with mods like dayz should become visible)

- select dayZ and click the disable/deactivate button. The game might ask to restart the game, do that.

Now the game should start in CO mode without dayZ.

Put it on paste2.org or pastebin.com but you can paste only the portion of the log relative to your last session , go to the end of the log and backward search the string "======", you should find the arma2oa.exe command line and the timestamp of your last session, copy all from the upper "======……..." to the end

I guess you use some sort of launcher/Gamebrowser, which says arma has to be started with dayZ. What exactly are you using?

Do you have a shortcut on your desktop?

Another question, if you watch into the following directory: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\@DayZ", are the following files really inexistent?

dayz_code.pbo

dayz_weapons.pbo

dayz_equip.pbo

dayz_vehicles.pbo

Are we talking about ArmA or OA? If we're talking about OA, I got it to work by removing the DayZ file.

I'd normally talk about CO nowadays (which is A2 + OA together), because, atleast I don't do anything anymore with A2 only, and the broad community uses CO too.
