rdrake817 1 Posted November 16, 2012 (edited) Joint Special Operations CommandTactical Realism | Military Simulation Overview: The Joint Special Operations Command is a ARMA II and ARMA II Operations Arrowhead Military Simulation Unit designed around the United States Army. The doors opened on 9 October 2012 after a long hiatus but returned to service in anticipation of the long awaited release of ARMA III. This unit continues to grow being commanded by active duty military personnel and having more than ten years of video gaming experience. The unit is broken down into three elements the 101st Airborne Division which houses the Infantry and Armor divisions, 9th Marine Regiment which contains dynamic strategic light infantry and assisted by the 160th SOAR which contains expert pilots. Just like any prosperous unit the need for qualified and dedicated individuals is always there. The 82nd Airborne has just over fifty active duty service members in just over six weeks of service, with consistent growth of 5-10 daily. The Joint Special Operations Command is always looking for the next best individuals to step up to the plate, if you believe that this unit could use your abilities by all means check us out. Must have or download ACE/ACRE/MOD PACK for Training and Operations. We are looking to add the Armor element to the 82nd Airborne. So we welcome anyone looking to help complete the most self-sufficient unit in the community. After the completion of our first operation, Operation Liberty Strike (seen below), we have seen the need to bring in the heavy machinery for our real-time campaign. The completion of Officer Candidate School brought a new line of dedicated platoon leaders to help lead our men into combat. The unit returns from the Christmas Holiday Rest and Relaxation period at full strength offering the only US Army and US Marines experience in all of ArmA II. The unit is about to embark on Operation Guardian in our second outing in our current deployment to Afghanistan. While the command structure continues to offer Basic Airborne School, Division Orientation Course, and excellent leadership development courses. We are still currently recruiting as we are putting the finishing touches on our new Recruit Training Map in 29 Palms and our new command structure which allows for the 101st Airborne Division and the 9th Marines Regiment.
