ScripTingTool 1 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) Hello, I am new weapon in the game (not too long). The only military game that surprised me! :) Well I have a question, I see a "Scud launcher nuclear bomb" see photo below: http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/3889/noskin.png If you watch (obviously) you'll see that this has no skin (so to speak) Now look at this picture: http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/2706/scudskin.png This "Scud" already has a very beautiful Skin. And this is my question, where do I find this the Skin "Scud"? Edited September 10, 2012 by ScripTingTool
kylania 568 Posted September 10, 2012 The first one is from an ArmA1 mod ported to ArmA2. The second one is the 9P117 SCUD-B vehicle from OA.
purepassion 22 Posted September 10, 2012 (edited) The first SCUD Launcher is a ported mod from Arma 1, whereas the second one you linked with the camo painting is Arma 2:Operation Arrowhead vanilla content. Edited September 10, 2012 by PurePassion hehe santa hat off to you kylania :p
ScripTingTool 1 Posted September 10, 2012 That quick answers! :) I honestly NEVER noticed the 9P117 SCUD-B in the game. I hope that soon the "Scud" also has this skin. More still, thank you :) ---------- Post added at 19:13 ---------- Previous post was at 19:03 ---------- One question: how do I mark the location where it should launch the missile? kylania 568 Posted September 10, 2012 The scud launcher doesn't actually shoot anything. When you "fire" it via scripting, it'll do an animation of a rocket flying straight up, but that's all it does. There's no actual missile like there is with any other vehicle weapon. So what you'd do is fire it, then create an explosion where you wanted it to have landed. It's generally used to "destroy before it fires" or "oops, it fired you lose" type scenarios instead of "lets attack that UAZ with scuds".
