Lewcipher 1 Posted June 26, 2002 Hi all, Does anyone know how I can change the refresh rate in the game, in the video setup screen?? The only option I have in there is "default". I have gone through all faq's both here and at Avon Lady, have tried lowering the resolution and then back to the original resolution, have tried the default "auto detect" settings, tried reinstalling, and nothing has helped/changed. I am running: WinME 512MB RDRAM P4 2GHz GeForce4 Ti4600 OFP v1.46 I am using the latest drivers for everything. Again, the issue is that I cannot change the refresh rate in the game, in the video settings - the only choice available is "default". Any ideas?? TIA - I appreciate it! SpaceAlex 0 Posted June 26, 2002 I think that's WinME problem. I have windows XP Prof and Windows Me installed on my system. I can changed refresh rate in windows Xp, but i can't change it in windows ME. Deafult refresh rate should be around 60Hz (Depeds of your monitor). Anyway. Default refresh rate is just ok. Don't bother with that anymore.
shadow 6 Posted June 26, 2002 When using Win9x/ME OFP uses the refresh-rate Windows is configured to use in that particular resolution and bit-depth. If you play OFP in 1024x768@32-bit do this: -set windows resolution and bit-depth to 1024x768@32-bit. -click advanced -click adapter -choose the highest refresh-rate your monitor can handle -click apply -click ok Then you can set your windows resolution and bit-depth back to what it was. Now you'll notice OFP runs at the refresh-rate you choose in Windows.

You won't even notice any difference in OFP with higher refresh rate.

shadow 6 Posted June 27, 2002 Many people say that 75Hz is considered flicker-free. I can easily see the difference between 75 and 85Hz. I never use any lower refresh-setting than 85Hz.
