Do the Hind lock on missiles (AI) miss allot?

As the headline says. I just get the feeling that allot of the missiles miss their targets when using lock on.

When firing manually, the laser guided ones, its clear that they do hit a bit higher than your aim so I am just wondering it thats the reason allot of the AI shoots miss when the target isnt in a "perfect" position and even when it is it seems to miss from time to time.

Anyone else get this or am I doing something wrong?
