Hey guys, just thought I would put a post for anything I ask about in regards to scripting and editing. Now first off, here are my list of questions;

*I was wondering how I can put weapons and clothes on lets say an unarmed soldier on my team

*How do I medic myself and/or my men. ?

*How do I get the non-player characters to heal my men?

*Can I interact with stray characters in the field to join my team?

*When ever I call HQ for something whether it be medical support or similar they say we don't have the units for that. How do I remedy this?

*What is that lil bar under the HP Fuel and Ammo mean?

*They don't talk alot...do they?

*How to change uniforms to avoid being detected?

Thats all I can think of at the moment. If you could help me with the question(s) I have just put out, please answer in the comment section below. Thanks :cool:

Not really, other than learning how to put stuff in vehicles and stuff...I just started this game yesterday and until my exams are over tomorrow I can't really spend hours n hours searchin the forums..So I thought "Hey, ask the helpful members of the forums". Anyways can't wait for more responses after tomorrow. Need some sleep x.x

Started the game buddy, not the forums. I joined the forums to see if this was a good sim to move the corp i'm serving with to play.

Use the addweapon command to add a weapon and addmagazine command to add a magazine. You will want to use removeallweapons command on the unit first if replacing all equipment or removemagazine or removeweapon.

*How do I medic myself and/or my men. ?

Usually healing is limited to the medic class. If you need to be healed while in a group (provided your group has a medic and you are subordinate to an AI leader then the AI will order the medic to heal you automatically). Otherwise you will still need a medic in your group and can order him to heal you when needed. Other alternatives are to place a medical BMP/HUMMVEE or any medical support vehicle in the area, then move to the vehicle and click heal.

*How do I get the non-player characters to heal my men?

I think you select the unit and then press "F6" ? if I am not mistaken or choose heal officer out of the list of possible actions.

*Can I interact with stray characters in the field to join my team?

Only if he's been scripted to join your team.

Place a medic on the map with a support waypoint. (I assume your making your own mission(s) in the editor?

*What is that lil bar under the HP Fuel and Ammo mean?

I am not sure as I can't remember which one your referring to. I rarely pay attention to the hud lol.

Not unless talking is scripted.

Unfortunately this is impossible in ARMA2 but will be possible in ARMA3.

Thank you for the helpful information ^_^. Also in regards to the bar under the HP, Ammo, etc...it says something about presence? Also the unarmed man bit, I mean to give an unarmed man in my team a weapon or something. How do I do that?

this addWeapon "weapon classname";

Search the biki and you will find more detail on it. (also you will find the classlists)
