Terminal_Meltdown 1 Posted January 18, 2012 (edited) I passed up the opportunity to purchase your software when Steam's Xmas holiday sale was half off. The reason I chose to skip the purchase was due to the representation Arma II FREE displayed. After I tried your free release, I felt there was something missing and I was not drawn into playing it more than a 30 minute personal trial period. It just did not seem as appealing to me graphically after seeing the fabulous trailers that were made. Later, I found out that the FREE version is crippled graphically and I feel this is misrepresentation of the true product. I, as a new customer, am willing to invest in the future of Arma 3 on release day. However, I'm not willing to invest full price in dated software due to the new version coming out so soon. I think it would be a very logical and profitable marketing tactic to generate any remaining revenue to be had out of Arma 2 before 3 hits the market this summer. I am of course implying if such another great deal hits Steam again -- and relativity soon as I might NOT want it at all when summer hits -- I will purchase your Arma 2 X product. Nicholas 5 Posted January 18, 2012 (edited) This wasn't clear enough? $29.99 isn't really a bad price when most games these days are starting to go for $59.99. And that $29.99 is for Combined Operations - which includes both games (ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead). The only thing that I hate about Steam is that it has brought the mentality of "It will be on sale". So many people are unwilling to purchase a game at full price. Purchasing a game at full price means more money goes to the developers to further improve the game; or create a new, better game. Terminal_Meltdown 1 Posted January 18, 2012 Your posted graph was not relayed to me on Steam and was only discovered after someone else on this forum weeks later, after the fact, directed me to another page that explained to me that the graphics were crippled. Like I said in my previous post, which I thought was quite "clear." Take it or leave it. I made my offer, peace.

My apologies. Edited January 18, 2012 by Nicholas

BIS, as a private company, owes you, as a private consumer, about 9/10 of nothing. I think it would be a very logical and profitable tactic for you to a) gain paid employment and b) save the measly $30 required out of your next paycheck to "invest" in this "dated software." Some people.
Guest Posted January 18, 2012 It is up to Steam to provide such info. BIS has no influence over the content Steam places on their website/program. Its up to a buyer to research the product he is interested in. BIS provides all the needed and important info about their products on their website. If one chooses to not research facts for himself but thinks the info displayed on the Steam site/program is enough than thats something which might need adjusting before any other future purchase of any through Steam saled product is made. Since this feedback belongs on the Steam forums or should be mailed to the Steam support/sales departement I say, lock it.
