How to combine ArmaII Steam with ArmAII Reinforcements Retail.

Recommended Posts

I just received a ArmaII Reinforcements retail copy as a late Christmas present. Right now I own both ArmAII and OA on Steam, but have yet to redownload them fully. If I were to download only ArmAII main, could I get it to work with my disc version of OA included on Reinforcements or would I have to download the Steam version in conjunction then move my PMC and BAF expansion files over to the Steam folder? I ask this because my internet provider caps my download speed with Steam to about 150kb/s so it takes about forever and a day to get it through Steam.

Answers, anybody? Please?

I've installed and reinstalled this darn CD multiple times already, patched it. Even moved my Steam Arma 2 out of its original directory and into the Bohemia Interactive folder where the Reinforcements installment is and it still won't launch as Combined Operations properly. And I only ever have access to the 3 campaigns when I launch it without Steam (Operation Arrowhead, Operation Crimson Lance, and the PMC missions). But with Steam, I can only get Operation Harvest Red, Operation Arrowhead, or the EW campaign. Now I've noticed I can play online while using the PMC and BAF Lite components with my A2&OA clients on Steam with no issues. So if I just install ArmA 2 Reinformements and leave the multiplayer aspects of it alone, am I missing out on anything as far as multiplayer features while using A2&OA with BAF&PMC Lite components? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Issue fixed. Combined Steam ArmA 2 into non-Steam AO folder and then patched. At first I thought the directions meant same file as in the "Bohemia Interactive" file. Directly combined them, no issues so far.

Admin/mods, you may close this topic. Thank you.
