how to drop ammunition etc. supplies?

Hi,

Its kinda stupid question... but how do I actually drop supplies in leader mode?

I have the option to call for ammunition, but i always receive an error like "too far away from drop point"

So does that mean that the drop point is where the Base is? I also tried that near a MHQ with same result. where are the drop points? Do I have to throw some sort of smokes?
