Warfare Salvage Truck Standalone???

Hello community,

I searched the forums and found a few things, but they were too advanced for me, or did not answer what I am looking for!

What I am looking for is, I have a mission(More of a Advanced Bases Template) that has "Salvage and Supply" trucks in it, as my template is mean't to be like "Warfare", as in be self efficient! However I need the standard BIS Salvage/Supply trucks to do as they do in Warfare, but I am not sure how to go about that...any help please???

Any scripts i can download and place into my mission folder? I have tried to go throw the Warfare stuff from the game but dont understand much so any help would be very appreciated!

Yeah, Warfare is a bit of a jumble. What exactly is it you want these trucks to do?

I would like they to rome around the map(Most likely from Airbase to Airbase..if possible) and or just search/come to destroyed vehicles and make them disapear(?), more or less a realistic way to have destroyed vehicles be removed from the map, unlike Warfare, i guess it would be pointless for money to be made from this but maby a way for them to return back to base once they do so!

Its hard to explain exactly what i want as I am not too sure what can be done with my situation, as I am not too sure the limitations of this situation on the game engine, if you understand what i mean!

Essentially you want a truck that can tow wrecks back to a repair yard? Wouldn't be too hard to script into a mission I don't think. Might even be able to turn it into an addon?

You'd just need a building, either pre-existing or an addon, with a script that take a wreck that is placed within a certain radius, replaces it with an intact model, and unlocks the new vehicle after X amount of time. You'd also need a tow script for the truck, although that would be a bit trickier if you want it to look realistic.

Yeah you pretty much read my mind. But NO ADDON! I want this too work with any mission, and if i could have it in only one .sqf file that would be great(I already got atleast 15-20 scripts in my template)! If it makes it easier...it dont have to tow the wreck back(Altho that would be alsome), maby just delete it permently...or if its one that has the Vehicle Respawn script attached too it, it can respawn once its been deleted by the Salvage Truck(?) But again due to me not really knowing how much of my dreaming can be done in this game....i dont know what i want so this thread is more of an idea too i guess!

intriguing concept - worth a look in my opinion - may need someone with more experience with ArmA scripting than myself but I'll probably give it a go..

Thanks Desrat, I too have tried to make this type of script my self, but failed and did not come close, and had too many errors and crashes! Hope yours works out better!
