Propuh 10 Posted August 7, 2011 Is it possible to change class of soldier in game, for example if started as rifleman, after some trigger to "become" sniper, or AT or something, with belonging gear? Like situation where player enters house and get dressed and take weapon.
kylania 568 Posted August 7, 2011 (edited) It is, but there's a lot of locality issues in mulitplayer when you do that. Use selectPlayer if you want to go down that path. Here's a demo mission I'd made up, but never tested in MP. Also realize, ArmA2 isn't a class based shooter. Edit: Yeah, as Grimes said, if all you wanna do is change their weapons, it's trivial. But clothing, not so much. :) Edited August 7, 2011 by kylania
KC Grimes 79 Posted August 7, 2011 Well, walking into a room and having your loadout changed is easy. The "dressing up" and literally changing the unit's classname... not so easy.
Propuh 10 Posted August 7, 2011 Thanks guys, after all it's not so smart idea to change class of soldiers, when you can make ammo crate and take whatever you want.
