hobojoe 10 Posted July 9, 2011 hey biz thanks for the preview after a about an hour of playing all i can say is, that it's awesome !! so here's my 2 cents 1.)the hud takes up too much space it would look better at a small icon size or an optional setting 2.)when headtracking could the torso of the pilot also move slightly with the head when leaning, like leaning with a rifle in Arma and leaning forward 3.)leaning forward z axis would also look good and add to the realism 4.)fully animated cockpit (all the dial at least labled) 5.)the option to fly from either side 6.)a better death ending or improved destruction 7.)an option to unpin the mouse from headtracking In all honesty I feel like avoiding the heli's in arma for a while since the Take on experience. its just that much better. Daniel 0 Posted July 10, 2011 6.)a better death ending or improved destruction Good shout. I'd settle for a cut to a silent black screen for instant death, and have the menu slowly fade on perhaps with music after a few seconds. So the shock of "killing" yourself is still there, but isn't necessarily grizzly.
Braindrool 10 Posted July 11, 2011 If you read the FAQ for TKOH you can see that they plan to improve destruction. Here is some of the information quoted. The visual damage state of the helicopter will be impacted by collisions, including rotor blades snaps and even losing your entire tail. How detailed will the damage model be? (Does the DM include wear and tear, over-stressing the airframe and lifting surfaces, loosing parts of the aircraft and associated impacts on the flight model, randomized failures based on aircraft age, maintenance state and type?)•Stress damage, component failure, and leaks are all featured. •These problems can be detected in a pre-flight check in their visual state and via animation. •This kind of damage will be reflected in the flight dynamics too.
