Some questions.

Ok, so I am a real noob to mission editing and have a handful of questions regarding various things, hopefully they won't be too hard to answer.

First off, how do I find face names from an addon? For example if I am using the desert mercs and black ops pack (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=6471) and I want to use "Terrorist Mask 1"

where can I find the face name for it so I can use setface? It would also be great if I could find out how to use accessories like helmets, balaclavas ect.

Secondly, some respawning issues. Currently I am using this http://www.ofpec.com/forum/index.php?topic=33731.0, it works great except for one thing, I have set the identity of my unit and when I respawn it

defaults back to whatever face and glasses I have set in my profile. Is there any way to prevent this? More importantly is there any system where you can have a limited number of respawns, but you respawn with

the group you belong to? It would be better if you do not have to disable AI to do it but even if you do and explanation would still be really helpful.

Next, I have a problem with the AI, whenever I place them in a guard tower, in a window or behind a sandbag, they go prone as soon as combat starts and are pretty useless. I searched for a

solution and have found this setUnitPos "UP"; which is pretty helpful in some situations but I am wondering if the is a better solution. I would prefer it if they could still go prone but did not do it so much,

or at the very least could crouch AND stand instead of standing in the line of fire like morons.

Lastly, I have made a mission where there are 3 areas with markers designating that these are areas that possibly contain enemy camps which you are then supposed to search, I have

made the 3 camps, but the thing is, I do not want all 3 camps to appear, just one. I know about probability of presence but that doesn't work in this case. How can I set the probability

of presence for the entire camp and the triggers relating to it?

1. Usually in the mod's documentation. If you open up that mod you're talking about and read the README.txt at the bottom you'll find:

If you want to create your own identities with the helmets/hats/glasses/gas masks/pilot stuff in a description.ext you will need these names:

It doesn't look like they are actual ACE items you can use like you could with the normal goggles items.

Make sure you're using the latest version of Norrin's revive. I have no idea if it preserves setIdentity though, since that's never been a concern in MP for me, sorry. :)

AI are morons. It's easy enough to make them kill you better, but making them do precise motions at precise times is a lost battle. Be happy they remain in place at all. setUnitPos UP is about the only thing I've seen for keeping them in place.

I made a demo mission that shows how to start a "camp" at one of three possible locations at game start using the SHK_moveobjects.sqf script from Shuko.
