bushlurker 46 Posted April 12, 2011 Hi ArmAriffic... Best possible place to start is with Sgt Ace's Tutorial... Theres a few preliminary steps with getting started in terrain-making... installing the tools suite, creating an unpacked "build environment" on a "virtual P:\ drive, etc... the tutorial will lead you right thru the basics of that process - then on to building a one colour small island, using provided files, and finally to binarizing the result and getting it in-game... Follow the tutorial - to the letter... it's guaranteed 100% working... if you hit a snag - and we all did - check the associated thread... most snags have been hit before and all the questions and answers are in there... AFTER you've successfully done the tutorial, you'll have a basic working build environment and a basic working 1 colour island framework... from there you can repath and rename configs, change some parameters in Visitor, get together some large terrain files of your own and then basically just do the tutorial all over again - but to your own parameters and with your own files... shouldn't take you long to get your own first basic terrain on the go... DO the tutorial though... properly... it'll save you asking a lot of obvious questions and get you well on your way... Have fun!!! B
