FCATrooper 0 Posted December 21, 2001 hey ive downloaded it but i have a file and i dunno where to put it....anyone wanna tell me? cheers.
dayglow 2 Posted December 21, 2001 it's in rar format so you have to download winrar if you don't have it. (compression like zip) Inside there is a readme, basically, off the top of my head, you have one file you put in the addons and another in the bin folder. then erase a file in the bin. (I back up the whole directory somewhere else first.) The instructions are in the readme in the rar, so just unpack that and you should be good to go. WTFonslaught 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Pretty sure that it wont work with 1.40, so you might need to wait for satchel to release his next beta!

timmy 0 Posted December 24, 2001 does it work with 1.4 yes or no
PV 0 Posted December 24, 2001 no.. Satchel is working on releasing a version for 1.4. you can put it in if you have 1.4, but there will be problems in the game.
Drewus 0 Posted December 24, 2001 ok i installed 1.4 and it worked fine (because i kept the original config file in there without deleting it).
Adviss 0 Posted December 24, 2001 How odd. I foolishly forgot to put back my original BIN folder before I upgraded to ver 1.40 and to my surpise the update installed succesfully and upon booting up the game ive had no problems with the new sounds(except for the bugs found in 1.30) and Ive even played a few multiplayer games with out incident. All in all, im happy.

This problem was caused by an character in the .pbo file name and config.cpp, the ł doesn´t seem to work on all systems, therefore invalidating all references from the config.cpp to the audiofile container. To install and fix this issue simply overwrite the existing config.cpp with this one, and rename the CCIłAudioSFX.pbo in your addons folder to CCI3AudioSFX.pbo. Should work now. Remember the project is still Beta. Download fix
