Ofp locks up cold when exiting multiplayer

When i hit ALT&F4 or when i quit like normal Esc, then Esc to get to server list it sits there. It wont contnue after 5 or 10 min. I have to ctrl-alt-delete and click task manager in windows and end task..  Everything else runs 100% smooth. Only happends when exiting multiplayer.

TNT2 M64 32 Mb AGP card

any help would be appreciated
