Herz 10 Posted January 5, 2011 21st Century Warfare is an organized Armed Assault 2: Combined Operations tournament using the latest award-winning ACE mod as well as our own core additions. We play using the JDAM 1.0 (Joint Dynamic Assault Mission) gametype and host the creators of JDAM in our mod team. We play campaigns that go from ten to twelve weeks with battles occurring on Saturdays. Battles can range from eight to twelve hours, allowing for players from all over the globe to play. Individuals can play as long as they wish and can come back at any time during the battle. JDAM, as mentioned in the name, focuses on combined arms and a more dynamic flow to the warzone. Using the assets of armor, aircraft, and infantry, the divisions within our tournament use communication and coordination with military precision. During battle, flag zones are used as the articles of offense and defense. Plant your flag in the enemy zone and defend the area to receive points. At the same time, you must defend your own zone from the enemy's flag. Take down their flag to ensure they lose points and your side achieves victory! 21CW is returning to its prominence in the gaming world with the switch to Armed Assault 2. Our tournament began in 2003 with the Battlefield 1942 mod Desert Combat. Using this mod, 21CW played twelve hour battles with multiple armies and battle days for over ten campaigns. With the release of Battlefield 2, 21CW continued to evolve and prosper. Armed Assault 2 has provided a flexible platform for advancement of the 21CW experience. March 2011 will mark the eight year anniversary of 21CW and its 32nd campaign.
