Replacing GL4

My post in the GL4 thread didn't get any response, so:

Group Link 4 SFX Edition is causing problems for me in the OA campaign. whenever it needs to load something in the middle of a mission (for example, using the UAV backpack in the third mission, or the spot in the second mission Pathfinder, where the friendlies are supposed to come and set up FOB Planck), it just freezes with a black screen, and the progress bar at the bottom and nothing happens.

So, if anyone who knows their stuff would be kind enough to give me a list of addons that I could use to replace it, it would be much appreciated.

Here's my modline (GL4 disabled): -mod=@CBA;@HiFi_SFX;@HiFi_Weapons_Long;@HiFi_Vehicle_Weapons;@sthud;@landtex;@stmovement;@JayArmA2Lib;@ACRE;@JSRS-E;@JSRS-V;@JSRS-W;@JSRS-VW;

Hmmm, the processor is kind of where my hardware is lacking. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it though.

If I just enable the @zeu_AI folder in my modline, does it work like that? Or do I have to do something else too? The readme is a bit confusing.

just activate it in modline, and youre good to go, it will affect all AI, your side and enemy side btw.

Cool. The readme said something about folders and files that I couldn't find so I was a bit confused about that. I've heard a lot of good things about the Zeus AI so I'm looking forward to playing more with it.

Anyway, I know the AI isn't the only thing that GL4 affects, so any other mods I should look into?

in custom mission i use UPSMON alot, combine it with Zeus AI and you get a powerful easy way.

For playing SP campaign ive heard alot say they use ACE and that was very good. ive not tried campaign with ACE, but its deffinetly beeen used in my missions.

Well, I've downloaded Zeus AI, ACE (and everything that goes with it) and JTD FireAndSmoke so far. If you got any more suggestions, keep 'em coming!

You've got to be kidding me. I ran out of space on my modline. It just won't let me enter any more letters into it. WTH do I do now?!

I tried wrestling with a couple of launchers for a bit, and I couldn't get them to work the way I wanted. So can you tell me how to add the parameters like -nosplash -maxmem=#### and of course, -mod=#########?

Or actually, how do I make a batchfile for this in the first place? I made one but it doesn't start the game.

Edit: nevermind, I got the batch file working, with parameters and all. But now when I start up the game, it only loads about half of the mods :coop:

Edit2: HHHNNNGGGHHH KKKKIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL (it put spaces into the modline, that I first had made sure aren't there :coop: but now it works like a charm) IIIITTT'SSS SSOOO GOOOODDDD
