MichaelCO 10 Posted November 24, 2010 This is still more of a concept than a mission, but I'm not sure where else to put it. I want to create a mission involving trench warfare in ArmA 2. I can't really say what features it will have yet. The objective is to fight through a trench system to get to a fortified house with multiple machine-gun and AA emplacements all while dealing with ambient combat and air sorties flying overhead. After reaching the house the goal will be to hold the house while enemy forces re-occupy the trenches until support can arrive. Is there any way I can improve the trench "template" I have made above? Any suggestion or ideas are welcome.
bigpickle 0 Posted November 24, 2010 (edited) yeah you can use trenches that are in the ground not sure if they are default or if they came with the Unsung mod. I'll go check now and give you its name too. ~Edit~ Download the Unsung Mod, they have lots of trenches you can find in the editor under Empty slot. I could have sworn I found one that went into the ground but I cant find it now. Maybe I dreamed it lol Edited November 24, 2010 by Bigpickle updated
MichaelCO 10 Posted November 24, 2010 (edited) If I used that wouldn't that mean everyone on the server would have to have Unsung? Also, I thought the going into the ground thing was impossible currently? I'd really appreciate the link. What I have now serves the tactical purpose of a trench, but, gee underground trenches would be awesome. Edited November 24, 2010 by MichaelCO
bigpickle 0 Posted November 24, 2010 yeah they would need the mod, maybe the trench was in the map already that is possible. I'll have a look to see if I can find trenches as a stand alone mod. That's the Unsung mod: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=108476
