IceFire 0 Posted May 3, 2002 I have a few questions about the mission editor. I am assuming you can make your own mission in that, right? So I am learning new stuff in there so that I can make some. There are a few basic things I need to know. How to make a waypoint so that a unit moves to point 1, and then to point 2, and then back to point 1, and then back to point 2 and so on. He will basically be on patrol going back and forth. I tried gaurd and sentry, but it makes no sense to me how it works. Also, I made an independent unit, (one that is not under my command) a black op go to destroy an empty BMP. He walks up to it, lays down some satchels, and then just stays there. He does not run away and then detonate them like I expected. I then gave him a second waypoint to move far away from the BMP. I assumed that once he lays down the satchels, he will then move to the second waypoint, and then realizing that it is safe to detonate the satchels, will do so. Nope, he still didn't move. I guess because his first order to destroy the BMP wasn't complete. Help!

IceFire 0 Posted May 3, 2002 Well, I can't do that because he is not under my command. What is a script? Is that a sequence? I don't know how to make movie sequences yet. Also, how do I choose different weapons for the units in mission editor? Like giving a black op an M16 or something like that. I am a black op, and I want binocs. Also, how do you make it so that an independant unit does something with his action menu that is not in the waypoints menu? Like get into a jeep, drive to a waypoint, and then get out? IceFire 0 Posted May 4, 2002 Ok, I figured out how to do the jeep thing. You can just make them get out via waypoints. I just read some instructions about how to use mission editor. Those "scripts" and "trigger" stuff seems pretty hard. Like I don't even know what kind of scripts or triggers there are! Or can you make your own? Only thing I can't seem to do right now with the waypoints is make someone get into an empty hind, make him fly somewhere, and then land. I try making him "get in" the chopper, and then to "move" to somewhere else, and then "get out". All he does is get in the chopper, spin the propellers for a second and then get out.
