Alex72 1 Posted August 28, 2010 Try delete the ARMA2OA.CFG located in your documents and settings. Then restart the game and go into the video options and set everything back as you had it. Try that and see.

Pummel 10 Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) *solved see post below this* Hello, I have this same problem, but deleting the .cfg file did not help. Does anyone know a solution to this? The game used to work great for me, but I haven't played it since Christmas so I had to reinstall it with the latest patches. My OS is up to date with new drivers. The game should be fast, but the main menu keeps freezing every couple of seconds. In case you need more information, here goes: C2D @ 3.5ghz AMD HD 5870 SSD with plenty of free space Windows 7, 64bit, service pack one All drivers up to date All background stuff disabled (firewall, virus shield, etc) And all other games work perfectly Game has the latest patches, first I installed them for Arma 2, and then I installed OA and the latest patch for that. When I look at task manager, it shows that the CPU usage goes to 100% while in the main menu, and the game starts to freeze. It happens in Combined Operations, but the same thing happens even if I just run the original Arma2. Please help if you can, I am dying to play.. ---------- Post added at 10:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:23 PM ---------- Ahh it's solved now. I just rebooted and now it works. I'm thinking there must be something in the install process or the patch process that tampers with the game or something, so a reboot fixes it.
