opening Settings / Controls menu takes very long time?

When I go into Settings, then click on "Controls" (to adjust keyboard binds, etc), it takes a long time (10 seconds or more?) for the menu to open. Other menus like Video and Sound settings open right away, it's only the Controls menu.

Anyone else have this problem or know what's going on? As I need to rebind often while getting everything perfect, it's getting annoying having to wait so long for the controls settings to open. I asked others online and no one else seems to have this problem.

I also got the same problem. Takes a long time before the game starts and also a long time before the Control menu appears.

No idea how to fix this.
