  1. I've been having an issue lately with our Arma 3 servers and I could use some help. I have two servers running on a dedi box (Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard) that are restarting randomly. This is what I find in the activity log: Does anyone know what this means? What I have done so far. Regardless of mission, custom or BI, server will restart with or without players present. No errors in .rpt. Update and validate game through steamcmd. Manually updated BE dll in the BattlEye directory. Verified ports are defined and open. Servers are 100+ ports apart. Defined all paths with startup line. Went line by line through config file with no errors or changes. I have run the server with the cfg set for BattlEye on and off. Still resets. Note: Both arma 3 servers have been running fine for the last few years. This problem started in the last few weeks.

    Game crashing

    After around 1-2 hours of game-play on a server I will get a connection error even-though my internet connection is fine. Attempting to leave the server will cause the game to freeze not allowing the games to exit the time it takes to break tends to be faster on servers with more people and activity but even then it can run longer than on a smaller server, I will list the things that I try and what response I get. Leave the server - Game freezes cant Alt-tab or Ctrl-alt-Del to access task manager forced to restart computer Alt-Tab - I am brought to the desktop however it freezes almost immediately. forced to restart computer Ctrl-alt-Del - The game screen will immediately freeze, forced to restart computer My computer specs- RAM: 16 GB GPU: EVGA GTX 960 CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.50GHz Motherboard: ASUS Z97 - A Power supply: EVGA 700B As for the game I have no mods on my game and as for server side, regardless of weather or not the server has mods the game will freeze eventually. I have reinstalled my graphics drivers and DirectX as well as Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable I have done so fucking much I just have no idea what the issue is I am almost certain it's is a software issue I just can't pin it down.
  3. Started up arma 3 this morning to check out a small number of mods, disabled them and came back later tonight to play vanilla. Started without mods. Servers loaded up Noticed the Official servers playercount was unusually low. Normally the amount of Master (insert map here) Zeus (NATO) was normally about 4-5 servers maxed or nearly full, but it looked more like 2-3 or so. Tried to connect to an empty server, mid-sized server, KOTH server. Connection lasted a while, connecting failed is all I got. Exited, reverified for 30 minutes or so with one file being reacquired(that's another thing, why does it take so long to validate?)' Restarted Arma. Same thing happened last time. Restarted computer. Okay, so I connected to the Master Altis 48+2 server, forgot which one it was. Turns out it's specific servers you can't connect to. Currently validating now, will update OP accordingly. Alright, so everything is in working order, could I get a mod to close/lock the topic? I'll ask somewhere else as to why validation in arma takes so long.
  4. I'm having some problems hosting a dedicated Arma 3 server on linux. I set the server up following this guide: https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/Arma_3_Dedicated_Server#Instructions_.28Linux_o.2Fs.29 The server used to work like that until several months ago, but when I'm trying to use it again now, I cannot get any missions started. As a player, I can connect, select a mission and press OK, but once the mission finishes loading, I find themselves back in the lobby again. If I keep pressing OK to start the mission, this will continue indefinitely. The server is running under Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS 32 bit. (I chose the 32 bit version because Arma 3 itself is 32 bit, so I thought this might lead to fewer compatibility problems.) I originally encountered the problem trying to play a custom mission with a large number of third-party mods, but to debug the problem better, I ran the server without mods and with BI missions only. I've also tried setting up a completely brand new virtual server following the original guide, but this lead to the same problem. Could someone help me with that?
