Well, after 5 months i finished this project, was a long way and was hard, but glad of what i have achieved. This could not have been completed without Marcin Szałek (Shelter for other ppl), so, thank you for your help. Sorry. -Fixed spanish subtitles in some missions. -New intros has been added. -Callsings are now showed properly; ex: Eagle, Roman, Ivan. -Idioms: -English, French, Italian, Spanish & German. 1985 - Cold War Crisis Remastered: -All missions/cutscenes modified. -Fixed all glitches (like the chat in the tower of the castle btw David and the leader of the resistance). -Changed 1 end of a scene. -Changed several endings of missions. -Added a new cutscene -New equipment (weapons) -New objetives in missions (some missions) -Fixed problems related with view distance (the original campaign was developed to be played under 500ms, playing with 1k or more will destroy friendlies units or make your fail the mission) -Added 1 easter egg. -Callsings are now showed properly; ex: NATO Command, HOUDAN Command, November, SwordFish. -Idioms: -English, French, Italian, Spanish & German. Extra Comment: The only version compatible with the campaigns is 1.99 (others can give you glitchs as fuck) , you will need 2 addons as well (voicerh and editor102) these 2 does not affect your gameplay, both in the .rar. Other thing, play the campaign WITHOUT MODS/ADDONS THAT MODIFIES THE GAMEPLAY, animations, effects, AI enhancement can ruin the experience and make you fail objetives or missions. Lord of Ruin posted a topic in ARMA 3 - GENERALYes, ahem, well, uhh this is my first post here, of which will most likely be many. I do admit, it has been a really long time since I submitted anything to a BI forum, so please, mea culpa, forgive me. I have spent the past 18 years watching BI's baby grow into the amazing creature that it is. Via bloody YouTube of all places. Yes, please, feel free to castigate me all you like, in fact, find me in game and make me work it off . It's not that I didnt want to play, just that life got in the way, and I found console gaming to ease the itch when I found that valued hour, or two, between life, parenting, and work. I did play OPF/RH/Resistance religiously in my youth, and modded many a machine to give me that draw distance we all know we needed. I participated in the community that has given so much, both to BI, and to us as players. I helped with mods, custom missions, scripts, and above all gave many virtual wristys to the BAS mod team who made the first iterations of BI's creations that much more exciting. And then, well, life got in the way. I am now however in the position to get back amongst the games that I loved in my youth, and with my latest custom build, and the very first Steam purchase, namely ARMA3 APEX, I am so keen I am still wiping the jizz off my 65" 4K OLED monitor after I kicked off the tutorial about an hour ago. What else can I say, holy jizz stains, this thing is just amazing. Anyway, enough with the jizz, and on with the biz. I am looking forward to once again engaging with this community, and also participating in whatever I can help with. I am unaware of where the BAS team moved onto, whether they are still around under another label, or like me just had life take its way, but I am keen to mod, script, and edit my way to many hours of fun and frustration, if that is still available that is. For those who still remember the glory days, please, by all means, say hi, tell your tales, and enlighten me as to where I can pick up again. I have around 2gb of original OPF+dlc mods/scripts/custom edits to share if you want to ever revisit the old days, not that the originals may even work on todays machines, but if the mod tools are still the same (I doubt it) then maybe I have something to help us all. Say hi, feel free to call me old as f*ck, and bring the banter, because banter kept things alive back then, and it keeps me alive now. Cheers.
Wasn't Red Hammer Studios the developers who helped BIS create the original OFP content? Sorry it's been awhile. I just ran across a video on youtube with someone mentioning RHS so I Goggled it. I downloaded and installed their add-ons for ArmA3. The add-ons are so beautiful, I even updated my sig pic. Blown away! What's cool is, when you drive the Humvee cars for the US side, you can see out the side windows, you're view is not blocked like in other mods. When you get in and out of planes, and choppers, the animations actually look like you're getting in and out. Last, the planes don't get shot down as easy as in CUP jets for example. They are more balanced. This RHS team took no shortcuts, these guys mean business. I love their attention to detail and how real their texturing looks. To me, this is what makes a game fun.
