Lowlands Warrior mod Discussion (Releases)

The Lowlands Warrior team has decided to start releasing Alpha stage mods in order to get more feedback on the content and maybe encourage more modders to join the team History Back in the early 2000's LLW started as a mod for the original Rainbow Six series, creating a large arsenal of NL Army/Marines weapons. Shortly afterwards they started creating content for Operations:Flashpoint (aka Arma: Cold War Assault) They released a large pack with terrains, vehicles, aircraft, weapons and units which what THE only dutch armed forces mod around at the time. Current plan The LLW team is not as big as in the old days. Many have stopped modding. Although, those who still have a bit of spare time dream about doing what was done before, this time in Arma 3. (Or 4?) Whatever we are creating now will be released here in the following posts. We hope every one will enjoy the mods, even while in early development stage. 11th Airmobile Brigade (Netherlands) This is a rapid and light infantry unit from the Dutch army. They are the Red Berets from the Netherlands. 11 Air Manoeuvre Brigade is known for its ability to be rapidly deployed and its mobility. Using light land vehicles and air assets (Helicopters & planes). This is a retexture from the arma 3 vanila units using only CBA_A3 and COLT C7NLD/C8NLD Weapons as dependency. Names has been changed to mimic the original names of the gear/weapons they use. I used the fennek as we don't have the Bushmaster in ArmA3 vanila. There is a CUP Optional pbo in the optional map that gives a few more vehicles in the mod if you use the CUP mods. For now it's just the Helicopters (AH-64D, CH-47D/F, Cougar Camo/Grey) but it's on my ToDo list for adding more. The mod comes in: * 4 camo patterns (Desert,Multicam, Winter, Woodland). * 7 types of uniforms. * 2 types of vests . * 3 types of backpacks. * 9 different insignia's. * 21 Classes. * 4 Helicopters. * 19 Wheeled vehicles. * 2 APC's. ToDo list: CUP optional (more vehicles & Units). RHS optional. Custom ammoboxxes. Things are getting serious now! We are in the Obect-placement stage of our Netherlands terrain! 5 people are currently working to populate a (roughly) 40x40km area. Terrain information Size: 40,96 x 40,96 km Terrain cell size: 5m Satelite res: 1m/pixel Terrain mask: 1m/pixel The area we choose just contains several key places for a Milsim community to play on. As well as a WWII group would be able to recreate some WWII events. Some important area's are: ​- East Roosendaal with Engelbrecht van Nassau Barracks (SF Headquarters) - Rucphenseheide (Militairy training area) - Breda International Airport "Seppe" - Gilze-Rijen Airbase - Breda - Royal Military Academy - Efteling (theme park) - Maas-Waal Lowflying area - Fort Altena - Slot Loevenstein (Castle) - Biesbosch - Maritime school (SF) - Moerdijk - Dordrecht For the moment key locations like the Military training area and the two airfields, plus some small villages have the highest prio. So most of the map is not populated. The first release will therefore also just have some area's populated with objects. The main roads between those area's (highways most likely) are the first to have objects closely around them. I expect (hope) to be able to release an early Alpha version in 3 to 4 weeks. Inhouse gaming-units from Lowlands Warrior will be the only ones to get the latest version for the time being. Want to be part of them? Contact me
