Welcome to the CB ArmA II AAS ladder

A place to play ArmA II organized and competitively

No doubt public PvP play is not strong in ArmA II. Spontaneous team vs team

play is rarely happening.

The league wants to offer the community a place to meet each other and

organize matches easily.

See the ladder as a training ground for you and your team to evolve and enjoy!

You can read more about the league concept in

Why play in CB ArmA II AAS ladder - the highlights!

Already in a league? No problem!

Most of the time teams choose between leagues and only play in one at a

time - for good reasons.

You can very well play next to more leagues in the CB ArmA II AAS ladder:

  • The mission design is streamlined to be able to play without extra preparation
in various ways. Teams are meant to seamlessly join the league,
take part in matches, enjoy and be successful.

No start rush, no home missions, simple to complex missions, small to large,

infantry to vehicle heavy missions, end result is both sides added together,

new missions every week and much more!

  • Even more the gameplay is focused on flexibility and teamplay.
While this is somewhat different to other leagues, to improve these skills will
help you ultimately to be more successful in more traditional leagues.

The ladder easily allows you to play even only every or every second week

once, enjoy variety, more intense gameplay and the world of community

created content (addons, new missions and worlds).

Long term project

The overall planning and design is a long term approach. The ArmA II

section at ClanBase will offers the PvP scene to play any game modes

they are interested in.

Especially this means to be ready once the full game addon Operation Arrowhead

is out to provide well organized leagues from day-0.

In addition an idea is to create a new standalone forum, unrelated to CB,

dedicated to the PvP scene to share views and information about the game

and competition.

Please leave your feedback in the forum.

The community can submit new missions easily to be part of the schedule in

to be used for different atmosphere and gameplay.

Really cool!

Particularly like the concept of a "ClanBase AAS Addon Pack" for fun, balanced, and sensible PvP play.

First release of CB AAS Missions (2009-11-26)

The fundamental system remains the same, still the ClanBase version is heavily modified

and tweaked for match play.

By default the missions start with in Public mode. It is less restricted compared

to the Match mode. Basically more interface helpers, more spawn shield time and

respawn even for combat vehicles.

Overview of the core changes:

  • Reduced and tweaked HUD for more demanding play and less artificial helpers.
  • In Match mode no respawn for combat vehicles. Faster empty vehicle respawn.
  • At mission start people are at the foremost zone under control to avoid rushing.
  • Changing classes only possible in X-Ray. No more fast rearm at crates.
  • Possible to beam from X-ray to the zones at the rucksack stack object.
  • Revive and healing for almost all classes to boost teamplay.
  • Heavily reworked class system (more classes, no scoped weapons, more specialized).

Thanks to community contributions there are 45 missions now available.

The CB AAS missions are limited to 10on10 to promote smaller, yet more AAS servers.

You can review here the detailed list of changes.

CB AAS Missions 2009-11-26 are available in the filebase.

Leave your feedback in the forum and enjoy! :D

This is a total other concept then as we played them before.

Specially i dislike the fact that only one flag can be attacked and defended. This will make it less fun i think and less strategic. This is probably due to the fact that you are not playing matches with large teams. We will see Kju, need to do some more reading on all other changes you made.

New missions are loaded on the European TAW server.

I'll get back to you on the rest.

Cheers,

TBone

This is not true. No changes here. You must be reading something wrong. :)
