Very nice piloting indeed. I know it's not under fire or under pressure etc, but even so it is very impressive!

That's truly remarkable, but at the same time somewhat dangerous.

Tops. There are some magnificent testimonials to Chinook and pilot capatibilities:

Extraction of personnel from a Rooftop:

My favorite display of rotary wing flying skills is still this old snippet.

Not too shabby either:

1: Seen it before, but still impressive, near to it being fake

2: Same as first post.

3: Wow!

That I would like to see someone do over a golf course hehe!

At first glance it looked like an RC helicopter.

4: Helicopters seems to be a good vehicle to take INTO the forest to pick mushrooms or berries!

About the CH-47, can it tilt the rotors individually?

They must IMHO as it would be near to impossible to do those kind of landings.

Pretty awesome Swedish piloting... Trying to find a video of Sweden's rotary wing exhibition group which fly the BO-105, but to no avail. I saw them live once and that was indeed amazing.

EDIT: Found it!

Anyone else think this pic "needs" a cartoon blurb like "dude seriously?!?! why'd you park over there?" <--I am far from funny...

Not to say it isn't skilled, but the Chinook pilots could not do those landings without a crew chief on the ramp talking to them.

I would consider this a lot more skill, maneuvering a single pilot MD-500D (no stability augmentation or hydraulics) with wires above, below and on both sides to transfer lineman.

Reminds me of my drunken flying in the IC-ArmA tournament! :yay:
