ArmAIIholic 10 Posted September 8, 2010 @ *SemperFI* it uses only vanilla A2 units and OA units thanx to Telson_VBAU, but I didn't want to mix those units and I didn't want other mods to interfere. I wanted clean module, to make it work, to be sure that error I get during testing is WICT only. That's why people report now that it runs smoothly and fluently. I have some more tweaks to do, after that I will focus on expanding. As you said combing mods is difficult but I won't let that to stop me. I have bigger plans. For example, I have an idea to work on tutorial / project "Unleashing the beast of spawning in ArmA2", I think that, once for all, I've found the way to remove boundaries between groups limit and spawning completely-scripted-missions with tasks, waypoints, reinforcements etc. But I need time to round up this version of WICT before going further or I will loose track of errors. First reason - I really don't want any error or bug to come up during expanding. Second reason - if I for some reason don't find time to expand it, I want to have fully working stable version. dhellfox 0 Posted September 8, 2010 No hard feelings dhellfox, ok :D I didn't mean anything rude, and I am sorry if I was rude, wasn't on purpose, but I also have other tasks to complete in "real life". no problem i was having a really bad day, having to search for errors in 270 pages of text is not fun :D About new version -- I didn't experience that, only once I had situation that they ignored me (except when I am in debug mode), but you can send me a mission and I will test it. In my testings with new WICT.utes template and WICT_demo.utes I didn't have any problems. However, I could do more testings, maybe there is some small error.--EDIT-- I didn't have any problems with AI nailing me down in WICT.utes mission when debug mode is off. What text values? ArmAIIholic 10 Posted September 9, 2010 Yes Katipo66 maybe that's what he thought. I turned whole WICT code through my head and I can say there is nothing connected to markers anymore. Earlier versions of WICT were using one marker, then just teleported it where spawning has to occur, but I replaced that with actual position, therefore speeding up the WICT. I have plans for improvements, but since this is the most stable and complete version so far, if I bring up new version I won't delete this one. I was thinking about testing some systems, improving performance.... WICT.utes is clean-clean template, only two bases and auto start -- it is the product of Visual Tutorial Guide. I was meaning if anyone uses the Utes demo as a template then they might want to turn god mode off, or set captive to false if they find that the AI are ignoring them in their mission, i think someone posted the AI ignoring them, it maybe they used the scripts from the demo with setcaptive=true, sorry if this has already been stated somewhere.. Since Katipo66 is working on new logo and banner and Velocity made some changes in the manual, and there is a lot of interest for improving WICT and "Hornet's nest" I was thinking about making page like F2 framework that is like Wiki with several of us as admins. I would like all of us to make online manual with all tutorials, change log, download place, latest news, and also, since WICT is meant to be very flexible --- user snippets. Therefore: 1) Does anyone knows good place for hosting? 2) does anyone knows how to make it look like Wiki, I like that design and it is easy to follow with all links I have idea to make it open for admins with track changes so all of us can work together to make better WICT. Once the *official* site is established I might consider posting it available as script. P.S. About hosting I will see if I can find some space, maybe along my webiste or on some free service. It's 12 player CoOp using BAF, Norrin's Revive, Vehicle Respawn, UPSMON, SoccerBoY_TW Artillery Support System Package. There are a total of 11 bases. This is really my frist try at a mission hope you guys like. Can be downloaded here Do not play in single player, place in MPMissions folder and launch through Lan if you wish for single player. Addons required: WICT BAF Arma 2 Combined Operations BTW What a Great Addon WICT is. Will try to make a post in User missions section when I can. Or A2H is welcome to do so if he likes.
